How Much Is a Dexcom G7 Sensor Worth?
We buy sealed diabetic supplies for cash. We do not sell supplies.
A sealed Dexcom G7 sensor's resale value depends on three things: which version it is, how many months are left before it expires and the condition of the box. The G7 15 Day usually pays more than the 10-day. You can see our current numbers on what we pay.

This page is general information, not medical or legal advice. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your own care.
Here's what moves the price up or down and how to get an exact number for your boxes.
Which G7 version do you have?
Dexcom makes two G7 sensors. Look at the name on the box:
- Dexcom G7: a 10-day sensor for ages 2 and older.
- Dexcom G7 15 Day: a 15-day sensor for adults 18 and older.
The 15 Day lasts longer, so buyers usually pay more for it. If a pharmacy sticker covers the name, don't peel it. Send a photo anyway. Our 10-day vs 15 Day guide shows other ways to tell.
Why does the date matter so much?
Sensors can't be used after their expiration date. A box with a year left is easy to pass on. One with two months left is much harder.
That's why our price list sorts sensors by months of dating left. We look at the date next to the hourglass symbol on the box. Our REF, lot and expiration guide shows exactly where to find it.
What else affects the price?
- Seal: whole, with no tears, cuts or tape.
- Box condition: not crushed, wet or faded.
- Labels: nothing marked "NOT FOR RESALE."
- Quantity: more boxes means a bigger total quote.
- Storage: boxes kept cool and dry hold up best.
Dexcom gives storage rules for its sensors. See our guide on storing supplies before selling.
What isn't worth anything to a buyer?
Some G7 items can't be sold at all:
- Expired sensors
- Opened boxes or used applicators
- Sensors you've worn
- Boxes marked "NOT FOR RESALE"
- Sensors paid for by Medicare or Medi-Cal
If you're not sure about a box, send a photo and ask before you ship.
What about the G7 receiver?
A sealed G7 receiver that's never been powered on has value too. Dexcom covers receivers with a one-year warranty instead of an expiration date like sensors. See do Dexcom receivers expire.
How do you get an exact number?
Prices change with the market, so the only exact number is a written quote for your boxes. It's free and there's no obligation.
Is local pickup or mail-in better?
Both pay the same quote. Local pickup is quick if you're in San Bernardino or Riverside County, and you're paid on the spot. Mail-in works from anywhere in the U.S. You ship with a prepaid label and get Zelle within 48 hours of delivery, if the items match.
Pick whatever is easier for you. Our pickup areas page lists the cities we cover.
When is the best time to sell?
As soon as you know you won't use a box. Value drops as the date gets closer, and it doesn't come back. If you just switched products, sell the extras while they still have plenty of dating left. Keep one backup if your doctor suggests it.
How do you take a good photo for a quote?
- Use daylight or a bright room.
- Show the product name and the expiration date clearly.
- Take one photo per box, or line them up so every label shows.
- Don't peel off pharmacy stickers.
We never buy expired items, opened boxes, insulin, anything marked "NOT FOR RESALE," or OneTouch Verio, Dexcom G5, FreeStyle Libre 14-day and Guardian 4. We also don't buy supplies paid for by Medicare or Medi-Cal. See what diabetic supplies can't be sold.
How does selling to us work?
- Check that each box is sealed and the date is still ahead.
- Take a clear photo of the front label and the expiration date.
- Send the photos through our quote form, or call or text (909) 619-5262.
- Get a written quote with a price for each item.
- Pick local pickup in the Inland Empire or mail-in from anywhere in the U.S.
- Get paid. Local sellers are paid at pickup. Mail-in sellers get Zelle within 48 hours of delivery if the items match.
There are no fees and no minimum. One box is fine. If you have strips, pods or pen needles too, send them in the same request so one quote covers everything. See how it works for more detail.
A real-life example
Say you have two sealed G7 15 Day boxes with ten months left. You also have one 10-day box with five months left.
You take a photo of each box showing the name and date. Each one gets priced on its own version and dating. Then they're added up in one written quote. You pick local pickup in Ontario and get paid at the meetup.
