Where to Sell Diabetic Supplies in Southern California
We buy sealed diabetic supplies for cash. We do not sell supplies.
In Southern California, you can sell sealed diabetic supplies to a local buyer who meets you in person, or to a buyer you mail them to. You can also donate them. Pick the option that fits where you live and how much effort you want to put in.

This page is general information, not medical or legal advice. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your own care.
We buy locally in San Bernardino and Riverside County and by mail from everywhere else. Here's how to compare your options and choose a buyer.
Who buys unused diabetic supplies?
Buyers are businesses that buy sealed surplus supplies from people. Some work only online. You pick items on their website, ship the box and wait to be paid.
Others, like us, also buy locally. Either way, you should get a written quote before anything changes hands. We're based in the Inland Empire and meet sellers across San Bernardino and Riverside County. Sellers in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and beyond can mail in. Our Los Angeles guide walks through the mail-in steps in detail, and they're the same for every city.
Should you sell locally or by mail?
It depends on where you live and what you prefer.
| Local pickup | Mail-in | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | San Bernardino and Riverside County | Anywhere in the U.S. |
| Packing | None | You pack the box |
| Shipping cost | None | You pay |
| Payment | Cash, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal on the spot | Zelle within 48 hours of delivery |
Local pickup is simple if you live nearby. You don't pack anything, and you get paid as soon as we check the boxes.
Mail-in works if you live farther away or would rather not meet anyone. You pay for shipping, but you can drop the box off whenever it suits you. See our mail-in page for the full steps.
What should you check first?
Run through this list:
- The box is sealed. We don't accept opened boxes, loose pods or opened receivers.
- The date is still ahead. Look for the hourglass symbol. More time left usually means a better offer.
- You know the exact product. For sensors and pods, the REF number on the label matters.
- The pharmacy sticker is still on. Peeling it can damage the box. We remove and shred stickers ourselves.
- Medicare or Medi-Cal didn't pay. We don't buy those supplies.
Our guide on reading expiration dates shows where to look.
Once you've checked everything, take clear photos. Get the front of each box and the label with the date. Good photos lead to a quote you can count on, with no surprises later.
What do buyers in Southern California take?
The most common items are CGM sensors, insulin pump pods and test strips. Here's what we buy, sealed and unexpired:
- Dexcom G7 10-day and 15-day, and Stelo
- FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus, Libre 3 and Libre 2 Plus
- Omnipod 5 pods and starter kits, and DASH 5-packs and 10-packs
- Contour, Accu-Chek, FreeStyle Lite and OneTouch Ultra strips
- Tandem AutoSoft and TruSteel sets, and BD pen needles
We don't buy Dexcom G6 sensors right now, but we do buy sealed G6 transmitters and receivers. A transmitter must be sealed and never started. A receiver must be sealed and never set up.
We don't buy insulin. We also don't buy anything expired, opened or marked "NOT FOR RESALE."
How do you spot a good buyer?
A good buyer makes things clear and easy. Look for:
- A real phone number and email you can check
- A written quote before you ship or meet
- No fees, ever
- Clear rules on what they won't buy
- A plain answer on what happens if a box doesn't match
Take your time. A real buyer won't rush you or push you to decide on the spot. If a deal sounds too good to be true, ask more questions or move on.
Walk away from anyone who asks you to send money, share a code or ship before agreeing on a price. The CFPB warns that a buyer who overpays and asks for the difference back is likely running a scam.
A real-life example
Say you live in Long Beach and have a mix of supplies left after a change in your care: four boxes of G7 sensors, two boxes of Contour Next strips and one opened box of pods.
You set the opened box aside, since we don't buy opened boxes. Then you check the dates on the rest. You take clear photos and send them to two buyers to compare.
One asks you to ship first and promises a price later. The other sends a written quote with each item listed. You pick the one with the written quote. You pack the six good boxes with padding, ship them with tracking and keep the receipt. The boxes match your photos, so your Zelle payment comes within 48 hours of delivery.
What if you'd rather donate?
That's a good choice too. Call free clinics, community health centers or your doctor's office to ask what they accept. Rules vary, so call before you drive over.
Donating doesn't put money in your pocket, but it can help someone who can't afford supplies. Some people sell part of their extras and donate the rest.
Used needles and lancets go in a sharps container. California offers a free mail-back sharps container through Sharps Take Back California.
