This page is general information, not medical or legal advice. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your own care.
Our local pickup covers San Bernardino and Riverside County. For OC sellers, mail-in is simple and you never have to set up a meeting. Here's how it works.
Who in OC can use mail-in?
Anyone in Orange County. That includes Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Orange, Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo and every other city in the county.
There's no minimum. One box or fifty, the steps are the same.
You can also mail in for a family member. If you're clearing out a parent's closet in Garden Grove or Laguna Niguel, the steps don't change. Just make sure the supplies weren't paid for by Medicare or Medi-Cal.
You don't need to live near us. Every city in OC gets the same steps and the same written quote.
What can you sell?
Here's what we buy, sealed and unexpired:
- Dexcom G7 10-day and 15-day sensors, and Stelo
- FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus, Libre 3 and Libre 2 Plus sensors
- Omnipod 5 pods and starter kits, and DASH 5-packs and 10-packs
- Test strips from Contour, Accu-Chek, FreeStyle Lite and OneTouch Ultra
- Tandem AutoSoft and TruSteel sets, and BD pen needles
We don't buy expired or opened items, insulin, or anything marked "NOT FOR RESALE." We also don't buy supplies paid for by Medicare or Medi-Cal.

Selling diabetic supplies in Orange County
- Send photos of each box and its date through our quote form, by text to (909) 619-5262 or by email.
- Get a written quote from sell@goldenstatediabeticsupply.com.
- Accept it, and we email our shipping address.
- Ship the box with tracking. You pay for shipping.
- We pay by Zelle within 48 hours of delivery if the items match the description.
If the products aren't what you described, we won't pay for them, and they won't be sent back. Clear photos and an honest description avoid that.
Before you send photos, run through this quick check:
- Each box is sealed, with the seal whole.
- The date next to the hourglass is still ahead.
- The box isn't crushed, wet or torn.
- Nothing is marked "NOT FOR RESALE."
- Medicare or Medi-Cal didn't pay for it.
Not sure where the date is? Our guide on finding the REF, LOT and expiration date shows each spot on the label.
How should you pack and ship?
Use a sturdy box a little bigger than your supplies. Fill the empty space with paper or bubble wrap so nothing slides. Don't tape or write on the product boxes.
Leave the pharmacy stickers on. You can black out your name with a marker. We remove and shred stickers ourselves. Peeling them can tear the box.
Take your photos before you seal the carton. They're your record of what you sent.
Pick any service with tracking. USPS says Priority Mail includes USPS Tracking and up to $100 of insurance on most shipments. Our guide on shipping diabetic supplies safely covers each step.
| Step | Tip |
|---|---|
| Before you pack | Take photos of every box |
| Packing | Fill empty space so nothing moves |
| Shipping | Use tracking and keep the receipt |
| Timing | Ship Monday to Wednesday |
Why sell by mail from OC?
Mail-in saves you a drive and a meetup. You pack on your own time and drop the box off when it's handy. A drive to the Inland Empire and back can eat up an afternoon, and mail-in skips it.
Ship early in the week, and drop the box at the counter rather than leaving it in a hot car or mailbox.
You also get the same written quote and the same no-fee promise as local sellers. The only difference is how the boxes reach us and how you're paid.
You also never have to wait at home for a pickup. The post office counter, a UPS store or a FedEx drop-off all work.
A real-life example
Say you live in Irvine and your plan switched you from Omnipod DASH to Omnipod 5. You have four sealed DASH 10-packs left.
You check the dates and the seals, then send photos of the front and label of each box. We reply with a written quote. You accept, and we email our address.
You pack the four boxes in a sturdy carton and ship them Tuesday with tracking. They arrive Thursday, match your photos, and your Zelle payment comes by Saturday.
You check your banking app to confirm the payment. Then you ask your pharmacy to stop sending DASH pods, so no more extras pile up.
What about used sharps in OC?
Used needles and lancets don't go in the trash. The FDA says to put them in a sharps container right after use.
OC Waste & Recycling lists hazardous waste drop-off options. California also offers a free mail-back sharps container through Sharps Take Back California.
Questions before you ship? Call or text (909) 619-5262. You'll talk with a real person, and you can confirm any offer came from us.
We never ask sellers to pay a fee, share a password or send money. If anyone claiming to be us does, it isn't us. Hang up and call the number above.
